Readers advisory – what do I read next?

Pre-work 

Please complete the following tasks.  Allow 1 ½ to 2 hours.

1. Open this pre-recorded webinar about key features of Novelist database- (takes one hour - you may want to use headphones).  If you are getting interrupted, at a minimum we suggest you watch about 16 mins of the webinar.  Use the timing bar located at the bottom of the screen and slide it along so it starts at 2.40 and watch up to 18 mins.

2.          Open the attached template to identify 3 books you have read. At the workshop you will be asked to contribute to discussion about books - you are welcome to bring these books along  pre-work books you have read.doc

3.         Talk to your colleagues and find out what readers advisory activities occur at your site.  

                        i.          bring photos of recent displays

                        ii.          examples any promotional material

                        iii          or bring some examples eg bookmarks, shelf talkers, book                                     clubs, displays, recommended reads etc
